Is your life full of so
many joyous moments that are treasures of a lifetime?
What moments do you recall
in your life that made you the happiest?
Why were those moments so
special?
I had another one of those
moments and feel compelled to share because it reveals who I am, what’s
important to me, and why I founded WomensCommunity.com. Most importantly it
reveals the Power of Connections, relationships – what we call Power
Partnerships™!
I celebrated my 50th
birthday by flying back to my old neighborhood in Crofton, MD and visiting
with my Joy Club lady friends. I formed this social club several years back
so that we could ensure we made the time to build relationships for fun,
socializing, support, learning and growth. It has become meaningful and
joyous for all involved. We provided support to those of us going through
transitions in our lives, we shared our trials and tribulations including
children and relationship issues. We shared new ideas, insights on life and
even our homes. We provided motivation and accountability. While I have moved
to another part of the country, my lady friends continue the Joy Club to this
very day – and invited me back to be with them on my birthday!
What has made this Joy Club
work and why should you create one?
It started with a mission
statement and common values and beliefs. We all value giving, sharing,
connecting, creating joy for ourselves and others. We also learned that we
shared a lot of common interests: music, spirituality, reading, traveling,
tennis…
This foundation of common
values and interests has been the glue for the group.
It took some effort to get
everyone committed, but once the value was experienced, the rest was history!
I also suggest you create a
Power Partnership network for your business, much like the Joy Club for your
personal enjoyment. This network would be comprised of your ideal Power
Partners. And who are those for you?
If you don’t know them –
join Womens Community and learn how to identify your best Power Partners and
to build those partnerships efficiently and effectively.

To get you started on
building your power partner network, make a list and describe those people you
like and resonate with the most. List the specific attributes in as much
detail as possible. What are their attitudes, beliefs, likes, dislikes,
interests, hobbies, education level, political preferences…
There are other factors
that will also want to consider in building your Power Partner Club. But,
start now and crystallize who you need in your professional network, and focus
your networking efforts on finding those Power Partners.
Stop doing shotgun
networking in many groups that may or may not have your ideal personal or
professional contacts and partners. Instead, identify clearly who you want
and watch the attraction factor kick in!
To your success in building
your very own Joy Club and Power Partner Club!
